Baby Shower High Tea

Celebrating a new life (or two) about to come in the world is the one of the best reasons to have a party.

Shower the mum to be over a high tea party with family and friends. Enjoy our hand made sweet treats, sandwich selection, and freshly baked scones served with jam and cream. All served with your choice of plunger coffee, loose leaf tea selection, or hot chocolate.

Terms and Conditions

Our online booking diary provides you with immediate availability, if a date or time is unable to be booked, you will need to select another time / date.

To confirm your booking, you will need to complete the pre-authorisation link, there is no payment taken at this stage. Payment is to be made on the day of your event, we accept both cash and card payments.

Cakes: Devon Pixies is able to provide a small celebration cake for photos, cutting, and sharing. These are decorated with buttercream and celebratory message. Costs start at $50 for a double layer, 20cm round cake.

If you would prefer to arrange to bring your own cake for display, please let us know before arrival. Devon Pixies does not provide a cutting / plating service for any cakes brought to the venue unless you are happy to pay $5pp cakeage

Final numbers and dietary requirements are due 7 days before your booking date, please email tea@devonpixies.com.au or call 0449 285 277 with those details. Your booking will be updated and confirmation will be emailed to you. Payment is to be made directly on the day for your confirmed numbers (minimum). Should any guests not arrive, their high tea will still need to be paid for and can be boxed for takeaway

CANCELLATION POLICY

After 30 and before 14 days before the booking date there is a cancellation cost of $100 charged through your pre-authorisation link.
Between 7 and 14 days before the booking day, 50% of your full amount will be charged through your pre-authorisation link.
After 7 days and before 3 days prior, 75% of the full amount will be charged through your pre-authorisation link
Cancellations within 72hours will be charged the full amount through the pre-authorisation link

We understand that individual plans can change and your party numbers may change at the last minute. If your numbers reduce after you have paid your final balance, takeaway boxes will be organised for you for those numbers.

How can we help? FAQ's

Can we BYO our own alcohol?

Yes you can! We have limited quantities of wine and champagne glasses. Please let us know in advance that you are planning to bring your wine. You will need your own coolers / ice buckets and ice.

Can we bring our own decorations?

Yes you can! We provide a baby shower banner with a gift table, and can change the table cloths from pink roses, to yellow/ blue/ green dots, to white with a grey runner, or plain white.

Do we need to eat the same menu?

Yes - choose a petit high tea, or high tea for the party. Dietary requirements for allergies can be arranged within that menu. We are unable to cater for personal dislikes and preferences.

What dietary requirements can you cater for?

We can cater for gluten free, lactose free, vegan, and vegetarian requirements. Please note that Devon Pixies is a mixed use kitchen and cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free product. We cannot cater for individual dislikes and preferences.

Can we bring children?

Yes, children are welcome at Devon Pixies. When you are making your booking, select the number of children in the numbers selection. Children 4 and under are free, please advise numbers at the time of booking.

Will we have the venue to ourselves?

This will depend on how many there are in your booking. Parties up to 20 guests may be sharing the cottage with others. Over 20 and up to 40 guests will have the cottage room to themselves. If you have a smaller party, you can request the entire cottage room with an additional venue hire of $500.

The petit high tea has a one hour seating / service time and the high tea has one and a half hour seating and service time. It is $100 per additional hour.

Accreditations and Memberships

We acknowledge and pay respect to the land and the traditional families of the Yugambeh region of South East Queensland and their Elders past, present, and emerging. The Yugambeh region includes families that identify as Gugingin, Kombumerri, Mununjali, Wangerriburra, and others.

How to get to Devon Pixies

By Private Transport:

Follow directions to 270 Jacaranda Avenue, Kingston. The carpark entrance is directly off Jacaranda Avenue. DO NOT go to Kingston Railway Station.

If using Google Maps, you can also enter Entrance to Kingston Butter Factory Precinct. The entrance is also connected to Logans bike path system.

By Public Transport:

Catching the train - we are 500m from the railway station, exit the station on the North bound side and follow the path to the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct.

Catching the bus - the nearest bus stop is at Kingston Railway Station, alight here and follow the path to the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct

Within the Precinct:

Devon Pixies is in the wooden cottage, just past the Heritage Centre, with ramp access from the entrance Piazza and step entrance from the front of the house facing the railway.
